Creating a New Guardianship Case

Creating a case is a critical step in using the features and functions of GTS.

Manual vs. Integrated/Automatic Case Creation

Depending on the decision made by individual counties, GTS may either be integrated with a county's case management system or it operates independently. If your county case management system is integrated, the case will automatically be created in GTS when it is entered in the case management system and no further action is required for case initiation. If your case management system is not integrated with GTS, the case needs to be entered into GTS using the manual case creation process.

 

 

Manual Case Creation

Be sure to create the case in your case management system before beginning the process in GTS. The case number generated by the case management system is required when entering the details in GTS.
